Cold and cruel winter night.
Nature woe begotten, a painful sight.
Penetrating within this freezing cold,
Maintaining firm hold.
Like a bird flying freely above,
Heart still bears capacity to love.
Imagination’s ability to create,
Through poetry such beauty narrate.
Spring became truly enjoyable,
Passing rough winter made it plausible.
Stepping forth,
Towards north.
Colder regions on globe,
Mother Earth in celestial robe.
Like a beautiful white wedding gown,
Cloaking body brown.
Emblem of purity,
Snow no less in civility.
Seems untrodden,
Regions forgotten.
Falling from heaven like manna,
Featherlike flakes.
Snow flurry no sooner kisses her ravishing lips,
With pure passion melts and drips.
One after another falling,
Seemed to be weaving.
A woolen dress,
Swollen to impress.
Deeper did layers grow,
All buried in snow.
Sadistic silence prevailed everywhere,
Watching through window there
Newly introduced to neighborhood,
Hardly understood.
Way of working,
When opportunity stood mocking
Boldly staring at her,
Courage did she gather.
With everyone fast asleep,
She went out to explore mountains steep.
Such tender age
When at parental restrictions rage.
She slipped out all cloaked in comfort
First experience of this sort
Snow showering sky
Scene of serenity spy
Hands stretched aside
Dancing from inside
An unheard symphony
Chords of her heart play
In a state of trance,
Sky and snow glance.
Went on to explore,
Heedless how far from shore.
Drifted further away towards dark woods,
A land of fantasy where heart broods.
Clusters of trees laden with snow flakes,
Treading on layers ignorant of mistakes.
Leaving behind human lodging,
Obliviously roving .
Her sleeve caught a sharp edge
Skin scratched from thorny hedge.
Oozed out a streak of blood,
Lost in rapture she stood.
Leaving behind a trail to trace,
She moved on in jolly pace.
Then felt a presence,
Behind her a warmth intense.
As though she woke up from sleep,
Scared she missed a beep.
Danger lurking behind her.
With pale face rather.
She sprinted swiftly to save herself,
But taken down by an elf.
So it seemed,
His eyes gleamed.
His teeth ripped her body apart,
A fountain of blood flowing out.
Eager to feed upon her heart,
Went on gorging.
While red kept oozing.
There gathered other creatures,
Animals of different statures.
All had a feast, a lump for all.
One flew with liver other gall.
Such became of her,
Feast for birds of different feather.
