While some like sunlight,
With warmth brighten my day.
As long as they would stay,
Help me endure plight.
But there’s one always within sight,
A presence that would negative energy sway.
Such magic upon me play.
Like a little bird would I glide in flight.
Yet these wings can’t soar so high,
Shortcomings that make me sigh.
I can never touch thy face,
A truth am I forced to embrace.
Dark night dipped in glory,
Such is thy name to my story.
