Dumbfounded

Silence prevailed in between,
Like a dreary dark night.
Not allowed to vent spleen.
I kept waiting that you might,
Listen to how haunted it had been.
But freedom of speech wasn’t my right.
You were always keen,
To pickup a cause and fight.
Never had you seen,
Expression of fright.
As I saw you turn green,
Then your taking a flight,
To hide behind a screen.
Least concerned of my plight.
