Catalog of catastrophes

Another calamity hits our beauteous city,

This time it is a terrible shake.

What does it signify,this earthquake?

Grown Ignorant of laws of humanity,

Denying instructions divine with brevity.

We stand tall covering each mistake,

Letting go of villainy we silently partake,

And thus are jointly punished as a society.

Our silence is our acceptance of wrong,

Like a passive smoker in smokers throng,

Playing with health for company’s charm,

We think these ill to us are of no harm.

When bad luck comes knocking on our door,

Astound we fall flat to floor.
